Classic Mustangs are one of the special cars to have the distinction of muscle car (or as the Mustang owners called them Pony cars). They were extremely popular because of the low cost. Compared to today’s cars they were higher in quality, quantity, and reliability.

Introduced in 1964 by Ford this car was made to fill a missing niche for the younger buyer. The Classic Mustang had its own distinct style, from the front, side, or rear, a new body style that continues to day.. The roof line on the originals moved from the "swept back" style to the new "box" style, the long hood and extended front grill gives the Mustang a look of going fast even when it was parked. Original Mustangs came with a six calendar 200ci engine stock. If you wanted wild you could get a 289ci 271hp, or if you had lots 'o cash a Shelby GT-350 in 1966.

On the following pages you will find information and parts for the Classic Mustang, from A to Z. Some of the parts may be the Original FMC parts, some may be from the original molds FMC has sold, they may be third party but they have the original specifications and will look and fit like the original part. Other parts will be third party reproductions because the original molds were either lost, destroyed, or thrown away by the manufacture.
