Classic El Camino, Classic Chevelle, Classic Mustang TipsClassic Car Parts Co.A tip about Ball Joints:When you change Ball Joints the instructions don't give advice, both shop manuals I have say: "Remove old ball joint, install using new bolts supplied with
new ball joint." Huh? The old ones are riveted in from the factory! a) You can take your 3lb sledge and a chisel and get a very good work out cutting the heads off of the rivets. b) Or you can take your drill and drill off the head of the rivet and punch it out with a drift punch. So if you want a good work out and have a couple of hours use the sledge and chisel. I did the first time, the second time I either wimped out or worked smarter. :)
Thanks for visiting Classic Car Parts, I hope you find what you are looking for!
